Filthy Beast

Posted April 4th, 2008 by Asbocat

In the late 60’s early 70’s Filthy Beast were a rock band gigging around the South of England from a base in Andover, Hampshire.

Working under various names over the years the band were sometimes a 5-piece, sometimes a 4-piece, but for the longest continuous period of operation they were a 3-piece known as Filthy Beast. An unusual 3-piece in that they never used a bass guitar; instead the rhythm guitar used a bass synthesiser to give a full and very variable sound.

A total of 6 people were members of the band, but for the longest and most successful period the line up was as follows.

So I had a look at their site…no I should say that I have lived with the building of this site for a few weeks now…really, really glad that it is (nearly) finished because during pulse 8 it nearly finished me! I got so short tempered with the questions and so lacking in concentration that I gave up trying to do any serious work. All I wanted to do was sleep.
[Update: the Filthy Beast site has now been entered for a Hantsweb award...watch this space!]

This time my balance has been badly affected, in fact a little wall walking has been the order of the day and I didn’t have the energy surge that has accompanied the Metro previously. Now I am really becoming depressed with the thought that I am too late, not suitable, born in the wrong phase of the moon etc. etc. Mybe it is just a build up of toxins? Whatever, I hate this disease with a passion.

Looks like I’ll soon be joining you. David Wheldon has just pronounced the Flagyl are go!

    Oh heck.
