Third pulse.

Went to the Isle of Wight on 3 Nov on the funny little ferry from Lymington. A tiring but enjoyable day and the weather was fine for the crossing too.

River Medina

I had been a bit concerned about sea sickness because I had developed travel sickness when a passenger in a car. I have always been a good sailor since the age of 6 months when I was first taken to Ireland by boat, but what now? I was armed with ginger pills and a bag of crystalised ginger, but in the event the sea was very calm and the trip was uneventful – apart from getting up and down to the deck!

However the return car journey in the dark and in the back of the car was certainly a challenge; so much so that I missed the stag at the side of the road through the Forest. grrr!

The pulse.

Started a pulse with Metro the next day, 3 250mg tablets.
The same on the following day and felt fine, even my walking seemed to improve on both days – no limp and fluid movement.
Next day took one tablet and before the next one was due had dreadful cramping pains from the stomach downwards. This was followed by explosive diarrhea so I cut the pulse short because I felt so dreadful. Bed for a few hours then got up to see “Spooks”, which seems to get better and better, slept well after that.

Had flu injection, for which we had to stand in a queue for a while and that normally would have had me asking for a chair, but not this time – w00t!

The walking improvement continued for the next two days – even noticed by others! – but on 9 Nov it seems to have reverted. (Azithromax day?).

2nd pulse

Was pretty uneventful, but it was only 1 tablet at night on 18th October, then 3 the following day.
