Just wondering about cpn – MS appears in the Faroe Islands after WW2, MS incidence in the Middle East after Desert Storm? If, as we believe, Cpn is a trigger for many conditions, what will be the effect of allowing this parasite off the Earth? We know that Cpn has evolved into a very treacherous pathogen in the Earth’s gravity. What will be the effects of lack of gravity plus Cpn on returning astronauts, many of whom will be carrying it undetected in their cells?
More worrying is the prospect of transmission to Earth of a Super Cpn since standard blood tests won’t be effective in detecting it in astronauts and astronauts go back into the community, don’t they?.
