CAP for MS
The legs continue to improve and don’t itch at all any more. I am just left with a darker colour skin staining, more noticeable on the left leg of course. Interestingly my feet and legs are not continually cold as they have been for at least four years and I no longer have to wear thermal socks all year round! I have been sockless for about 2 months now, but no doubt when the weather changes I will have to wear them again but even so it may just be normal socks not the heavy duty ones. We shall see.
I am still on 2 doxy daily and Azi MWF plus all supplements. Rachel is coming for a few days next week so I doubt that I will be pulsing yet although I am keen to do so. My major problems at the moment are sensory, needle stabbing in various parts of my body and clonus of the left foot at night. This really does interfere with falling asleep and Amytriptiline doesn’t seem to help even though I have upped the dose to 20mg. Consequently I put off going to bed for as long as I can to try and make myself very tired so that I fall asleep. Not a good regime as I am still very tired during the day.
I have bought an Air Walker exercise machine so that I can walk on a level surface, the roads and pathways around here are so uneven that I can easily stumble. It’s currently in the living room and I have to say that it takes the boredom away watching television while walking! It also helps to go on the machine when my coccyx starts to hurt sitting watching TV for the rugby, long films and football. I tend to hop on at various times of day and the longest stretch I have done so far has been 0.3 miles. I am aiming for half a mile at a time!
Last Saturday I had a really bad time in the supermarket because Peter was chivvying me about time. I nearly crumpled to the ground because of fatigue- trying to keep up the pace and looking for what I wanted overwhelmed me so I started to get light headed, my leg was dragging and I began to limp. I wish that I wasn’t so scared of driving now so that I could shop on my own, I don’t think that I would find it so overwhelming.
So balance and walking show no change as yet.
